As an editor and feature writer, Kelly J. Kitchens found herself engrossed in the North Texas’ arts, entertainment, leisure/hospitality and fund raising events scene in the early and mid-'90s. Her love of film, music, art, theater, and worthy causes drove her to then pursue the publicity side of the media business in 1995.
Kelly has been honored as a “master publicist” in the Fort Worth Business Press and a “media professional” in The Dallas Morning News.
The year 2012 was a bang of a year! Not only did Kelly work on the 7th installment of the Dallas Producers Association's highly anticipated event: IT CAME FROM DALLAS, she also worked with Dallas actress, Angie Bolling best known as playing Mrs. Robocop as ROBOCOP celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Kelly was recently asked to do the publicity for the filmmakers chosen to participate in the Dallas International Film Festival in April and the Dallas VideoFest in September.
Kelly ended 2012 publicizing Ricki Derek's highly successful A Merry Little Christmas Show. She will also be the publicist for the upcoming Alamo Drafthouses DFW starting with the one opening in Richardson next spring, 2013.
